About the Role
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will support the Head of Payroll and Payroll Accountant across superannuation payments, portable LSL payments and claims, and required reporting arrangements.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and upload super files to the clearing house and organize the payment
- Check and re‑bank returned super
- Reconcile and process portable LSL levy payments and claims
- Process month‑end processing tasks
- Create new job, task, and positions as requested by the payroll operation team or finance team
- Prepare and run ad‑hoc reports as requested
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, customer‑focused approach with strong communication skills
- Proven experience in payroll across both blue‑ and white‑collar employees
- Sound understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with confident decision‑making
- Experience using payroll systems such as CHRIS21/iCHRIS or similar systems
- Previous experience with payrun processing
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel (formulas, pivot tables and macros)
- Experience working with Kronos/UKG
