Description
Reporting to the Head of Payroll, the Senior Payroll Officer plays a key role delivering end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll across multiple entities and states, while also contributing to compliance, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a genuinely well‑rounded role that combines:
- End‑to‑end payroll compliance and statutory reporting
- Continuous improvement, systems and automation initiatives
You will partner closely with People, Finance and the wider business to ensure payroll accuracy, integrity and a strong employee experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver accurate and timely fortnightly payroll cycles across multiple states and entities
- Maintain strong payroll governance, controls and data integrity
- Produce payroll reporting
- Support and contribute to a major system implementation and transformation program
- Identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for process and system improvement
- Maintain payroll documentation, procedures and controls
Profile
- Strong senior‑level payroll experience within complex organisations
- Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience with SAP payroll, SucessFactors Employee Central and Spinifex reporting will be advantageous
- Exposure to payroll system upgrades, testing or implementations (desirable)
- A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
- Confidence managing competing priorities in fast‑paced environments
Job Offer
