Senior PMO 12 Months Fixed‑Term Contract Starting Salary: c. £50,000 Locations: Bristol, York or Norwich with 50% office attendance This is a great role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced change environment and enjoys bringing structure, insight and assurance to complex programmes. You may already be an experienced PMO professional looking to take the next step in a strategic setting, or someone who loves working across multiple stakeholders to enable high‑quality delivery. A bit about the job As a Senior PMO, you’ll play a key role within Aviva’s high‑performing CIO PMO team, supporting the delivery of strategic programmes and portfolios. You’ll provide governance, insight and assurance to help teams deliver change safely, effectively and with no surprises. Working closely with Programme Leads, Project Managers and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure strong planning, reporting, financial and risk management disciplines are in place. This role gives you the opportunity to contribute to some of Aviva’s most impactful change initiatives while helping to shape best practice across the PMO community. Skills and experience we’re looking for Proven experience in a PMO role supporting complex programmes or large‑scale change initiatives Strong knowledge of core PMO disciplines, including governance, reporting, financial management and risk/issue management Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships, influence and provide constructive challenge at all levels Comfortable working independently, using data and insight to identify trends and support decision‑making A collaborative mindset, with a passion for sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive, inclusive team environment What you’ll get for this role Starting salary c. £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications) Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
