Join the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Programs and Investment (VPI) team to help design and manage innovative training programs and solutions focused on providing priority skills in existing and emerging industries across Queensland.
The Strategy and Skills Performance division defines the organisation's vision, sets strategic direction and leads skills initiatives using evidence-based research and analytics. By partnering with stakeholders and managing VET delivery, the division drives skills outcomes for students, employers and industry, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives. The VET Programs and Investment team is responsible for the development of Skills Assure Supplier Framework and other innovative Queensland Government funded training programs.
About The Role
As the Senior Program Officer, you will:
- Support the Director, VPI, and the Program Managers in designing, managing and evaluating the implementation of the new Skills Assure Framework and strategies that support training and skills outcomes.
- Develop innovative solutions and operational policies to ensure high performance standards and up to date program management practices.
- Provide sensitive policy and program advice and solutions to suppliers, staff and senior management to maintain high performance.
- Manage the development, coordination and evaluation of complex programs aligned to Skills Investment's objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on contractual or program requirements and oversee variations for optimal outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
The position requires an applicant who can:
- Demonstrate proven experience in innovative reporting, data analysis and performance monitoring to identify trends, insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrate skills in developing and implementing performance monitoring frameworks, including KPIs, benchmarks and metrics aligned with Skills Investment program goals.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to provide expert advice and contribute to policy analysis, program development, implementation and review within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.
- Apply experience in data-informed analysis and high-level understanding of contemporary supplier performance management practices.
