Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading Belgian company specializing in medium‑voltage switch gear solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work in the heart of Europe, combining technical innovation with a strong focus on safety and reliability. You will manage R&D projects from concept to industrialization, ensuring high‑quality standards and supporting production teams during new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead R&D projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and technical excellence.
• Develop and improve prototypes, including power switches, load break switches, and other medium‑voltage accessories.
• Design and implement internal tests, redesigns, and industrialization of adapted designs.
• Write detailed test protocols for technicians and oversee execution.
• Manage the conversion of prototypes into series production.
• Provide hands‑on support to production during the introduction of new products.

Requirements

Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in 3D design software such as Creo (or willingness to learn).
• Strong command of English; French is an advantage.
• Analytical thinker with creative problem‑solving skills.
• Independent, passionate about technology, and adaptable to changing priorities.
