Senior QA Engineer (Backend / Cloud) - Remote

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to help scale and improve quality across high-impact media / streaming platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building automation frameworks from scratch, improving QA processes, and working closely with engineering teams in fast-paced environments.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
• Drive QA strategy and best practices across teams
• Own and improve test coverage for web and API layers
• Work closely with engineering and product to ensure high-quality releases
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
• Contribute to documentation and QA processes
• Mentor other QA engineers and promote a quality-first mindset
• Test and validate media / streaming workflows (e.g., playback, ads, content delivery, user flows)

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles
• Strong experience with:
• Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar
• API testing (REST, authentication, etc.)
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Solid understanding of test architecture and best practices
• Experience working in monorepo environments is a plus
• Strong communication and ownership mindset

Nice to have

• Experience in media / streaming platforms (highly preferred)
• OTT, video-on-demand, live streaming, or ad-supported platforms
• Experience testing:
• Video playback (HLS, DASH)
• DRM-protected content
• Ad insertion (client-side or server-side)
• Experience with Connected TV (CTV), Smart TVs, or mobile streaming apps
• Exposure to performance or load testing in media environments
