Job DescriptionThis job serves as the main engine on projects designed to meet/exceed key performance metrics (e.g., admin cost reduction, process improvement, medical cost/value improvement, and enhanced customer/provider experience) for varying clients within the organization. The incumbent typically works on 1-2 simultaneous client engagements as part of an extended team of client staff, consultants, and other colleagues from the division. The incumbent generates value by playing an active role across all aspects of our engagement.
Typical project deliverables include (but are not limited to): capability analysis and definition; operating model (and/or future state) definition; organization and job design; governance and decision rights; process transformation; recommendations for margin improvement; business case development; and metrics design. The incumbent straddles the entire spectrum from deep quantitative analysis to sensitive change management, all while being adept at navigating a heavily matrixed organization and influencing client managers and staff to transform their business.
Essential Responsibilities- Drive across all aspects of engagement delivery, under the direction of the engagement manager, including gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, developing recommendations, building reports and deliverables, presenting findings and recommendations to client managers and executives, facilitating meetings and workshops, managing workstream workplan, coordinating with others for interdependencies. Able to own a full workstream, from start to finish.
- Actively expand consulting and professional skills through project work, client interactions, mentoring, and formal learning.
- Support internal initiatives including learning and development, team gatherings, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Operations, Information Technology, or closely related field

ExperienceRequired: 5 years' experience in the Strategy, Operations, Mergers and Acquisitions, or Human Capital Practice of a consulting firm or similar experience from a consulting-oriented role in a corporate environment or private equity firm
To Include: 1 year of management experience and/or experience leading teams and/or projects of varying size and complexity; 1 year of working in complex, matrixed environments or across multiple businesses
Preferred: 1 year of aggregate project experience from the Healthcare industry (payor and/or provider)
Licenses or CertificationsRequired: None
Preferred: Lean Six Sigma (OR); Human Centered Design (HCD)
Skills- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Good business and financial acumen
- Ability to apply creative and imaginative thinking to solve problems in innovative and/or unexpected ways
- Familiarity with exponential technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, Agentic AI)
- Excellent communication skills across verbal, written, and PowerPoint mediums; able to simply and concisely communicate complex ideas and concepts
- Ability to influence without authority - works effectively with people across all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner, be an active listener; solid facilitation skills

Pay Range$108,600.00 - $180,600.00
Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
