This is a hands-on, senior role focused on Workday HCM, Recruiting and Reporting, working in a complex, high-visibility environment where the system is genuinely business-critical.Key details at a glanceRole: Senior Workday HCM AnalystLocation: Swindon - hybrid, with ad hoc on-site meetings and a UK-wide teamContract: pending to 31 March 2027Day rate: Approx. 600-650 (umbrella, inside IR35)Clearance: BPSSEnvironment: Public sector / highly governed, BAU and transformationWhat you would be doingDelivering enhancements across Workday HCM: configuration, reporting and business process optimisationOwning and supporting Workday Recruiting (requisitions, candidate workflows, offer management)Building and maintaining reports, dashboards and analytics to give HR and Talent real insightLeading workshops, gathering requirements and translating them into robust technical designsManaging and prioritising BAU tickets, enhancements and system changesSupporting Workday releases, impact assessments and feature enablementEnsuring alignment with governance, security and compliance standards (including GDPR)Guiding and mentoring HR and IT stakeholders, and promoting best practice across the platformWhat they are looking for5+ years' Workday experience with strong expertise in Workday HCMProven, hands-on experience with Workday Recruiting and reportingSolid understanding of configuration, security and/or integrationsEvidence of business process optimisation and BAU support in a governed environmentExperience working in Agile/Scrum, with strong stakeholder engagement skillsWorkday HCM Certification is essential; Workday Recruiting certification is a strong plusNice to haveWorkday Prism AnalyticsAdditional modules such as Compensation, Absence, Payroll or FinanceExperience with Workday integrations (job boards, background checks, etc.)Public sector / highly regulated environment experienceConsulting backgroundWhy this could interest youOpportunity to shape and improve a critical Workday platform in a respected public sector organisationBlend of BAU stability with ongoing transformation and system evolutionFlexible hybrid model with a UK-wide teamHigh level of ownership and influence over how Workday is leveraged across HR and Recruitment
