Job Description
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale platform solutions. This position will play a key role in assessing existing enterprise applications and defining how the ServiceNow platform can integrate with or modernise current systems and processes.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical architecture capability with business understanding, enabling them to translate organisational requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions. Experience across key modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) is essential. Exposure to Public Sector Digital Services environments will be highly advantageous.
Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & StrategyDefine solution architecture and technical direction for ServiceNow platform implementationsDevelop architecture roadmaps, platform standards, and implementation blueprintsTranslate business requirements and operational processes into technical solution designsProvide architectural leadership across platform development and integration initiatives
Delivery & ImplementationOversee the full lifecycle delivery of ServiceNow solutions including configuration, customisation, integration, and testingGuide implementation teams on architecture standards, development practices, and platform governanceSupport agile delivery models including sprint-based implementation approachesDesign integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using common integration technologies
Platform Integration & AutomationArchitect integrations with external enterprise systems and cloud platformsImplement workflow orchestration and automation capabilities across business applicationsEnsure reliable data exchange and automation between ServiceNow and surrounding technology environments
Governance & Platform ManagementEstablish governance frameworks and standards for ServiceNow platform usageEnsure compliance with regulatory, security, and industry requirementsMonitor platform health, performance, and operational efficiencyIdentify opportunities to optimise platform capability and service delivery
Leadership & CollaborationWork closely with business and technical stakeholders to define platform requirements and solution scopeProvide mentorship and technical guidance to architects, developers, and platform administratorsSupport knowledge transfer through workshops, documentation, and technical enablement sessionsContribute to user experience strategies through persona development and service design considerations
Cloud IntegrationArchitect solutions integrating the ServiceNow platform with Microsoft Azure technologies
Experience & BackgroundDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related disciplineExtensive experience working with the ServiceNow platform in technical and architecture rolesSeveral years of experience performing ServiceNow solution architecture responsibilities in enterprise environmentsProven experience delivering large-scale ServiceNow implementations with multiple integrationsDemonstrated experience supporting complex migrations between hosting environments (e.g. cloud and on-premise)Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and agile delivery approachesTrack record of delivering multiple end-to-end ServiceNow implementationsSenior candidates should demonstrate experience leading or mentoring architecture teams
