Role Overview:The SIM Card & Device Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of SIM cards and operational devices. This includes inventory management, technical configuration, and data usage monitoring. This role requires high precision in data administration and consistency in handling high-volume hardware to ensure seamless network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Asset ManagementMaintain a structured and accurate SIM card inventory to prevent stock discrepancies.Conduct regular quality control (QC) inspections to ensure all SIM cards are active and ready for deployment.Systematically manage MSISDN and Serial Number (SN) records using Microsoft Excel or internal database systems.Ensure data integrity through periodic stock reconciliation and audits.
Technical Operations & ConfigurationPerform professional installation and configuration of SIM cards into operational devices following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Handle the physical "plug & unplug" process of SIM cards with care to maintain the integrity of device hardware components.Validate device connectivity and configuration prior to distribution or operational use.
Monitoring & ReportingProactively monitor data quota usage to prevent connectivity interruptions.Oversee the return of SIM cards to inventory after project completion or usage cycles.Prepare and submit comprehensive reports regarding stock levels, usage status, and operational challenges to the supervisor.
Requirements:Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Telecommunications is preferredExperience: Minimum 1 year of experience in SIM card inventory management or technical warehouse operations.
Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Data entry, VLOOKUP, and basic Pivot Tables for high-volume data processing).Basic knowledge of telecommunication networks and communication hardware.Proven ability to handle large-scale data with high accuracy.Core Competencies:Detail-oriented, disciplined, and highly accountable.Resilient in performing repetitive operational tasks with consistent quality.Strong ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred QualificationsPrior experience within a Telecommunications Provider or Network Device vendor.A strong interest in Information Technology and telecommunications infrastructure.Proven track record of maintaining "Zero Error" data accuracy in fast-paced environments.
