Site Civil Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer – Civil Works & PEB Construction

Location: Chennai

Experience: Minimum 5 Years (Industrial / Interiors / Warehouse experience; PEB preferred)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer with expertise in Civil Works and Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) construction. The role involves end-to-end site execution, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery while coordinating effectively with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and execute civil and PEB structural works, including foundations, anchor bolt setting, columns, rafters, purlins, and roofing/sheeting.
• Review and implement structural, fabrication, and GA drawings accurately on-site.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and structural integrity during execution.
• Coordinate with design, fabrication, and project teams for smooth workflow.
• Monitor daily site progress, manpower productivity, and material usage.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Enforce safety standards and site regulations strictly.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and workforce efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports and site documentation.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve site issues, delays, and technical challenges proactively.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and PEB construction projects.
• Strong understanding of steel structures, civil foundations, and erection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety practices.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) for reporting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, factory projects, or interior fit-outs.
• Knowledge of anchor bolt setting, grouting, torque tightening, and alignment tools.
• Familiarity with project planning tools (MS Project / Primavera) is an advantage.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: ₹5,00,000 – ₹6,00,000 per annum
• Additional Benefits: Travel allowance (as applicable)

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work full-time on-site and handle extended hours if required.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
