TCS Hiring for Software Asset Management - ITAM-Flexera AdminExperience Range: - 6 To 10 YearsLocation : PAN INDIA Job Description: Flexera One Administrator Role: Flexera One Administrator Department: IT / Technology / Software Asset Management (SAM) Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Flexera One Administrator to manage and optimize our Flexera One platform.

As the Flexera One Administrator, you will be crucial in ensuring the effective utilization of our software and cloud assets, maintaining license compliance, and optimizing IT spending. You will be responsible for the daily administration, configuration, and ongoing support of the Flexera One environment. This role requires a deep understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles, software licensing, cloud technologies, and the Flexera One platform itself.

You will collaborate with various teams, including IT, Procurement, Finance, and business units, to align Flexera One with organizational needs and objectives. Responsibilities: System Administration and Maintenance: Perform daily administration, maintenance, and support of the Flexera One platform. Monitor system health, performance, and identify and resolve application-related issues, coordinating with internal teams and vendors as needed.

Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities, including testing enhancements and communicating changes to relevant teams. Configure and optimize Flexera One modules and functionalities to meet evolving business requirements. Manage and maintain Flexera One agents and beacons deployment, upgrades, and monitoring.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Flexera One platform. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Flexera One efficiently. User and Access Management: Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Flexera One, adhering to security policies and access control standards.

Provide user support and training on Flexera One functionality and features to end-users and stakeholders. Data Management and Integration: Configure and maintain integrations between Flexera One and other relevant systems, such as ServiceNow, SCCM, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Manage data connectors and ensure accurate and timely data import from various sources.

Develop and maintain processes for data cleansing and normalization within Flexera One. Software Asset Management and License Optimization: Utilize Flexera One to manage software assets across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments. Implement and maintain software license management policies and procedures within Flexera One.

Analyze software usage data to identify optimization opportunities and cost savings. Support software license reconciliation and audit processes using Flexera One data and reporting. Maintain knowledge of software licensing models and vendor agreements.

Reporting and Analytics: Develop and generate reports and dashboards within Flexera One to track key metrics related to software assets, license compliance, cloud spending, and IT costs. Analyze data and provide insights to stakeholders on software usage, license positions, and potential risks or savings. Create custom reports and adapt existing reports to meet specific business needs.

Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Flexera One performance and data accuracy. Software Asset Management (SAM) & License Optimization: Monitor software license usage to ensure compliance and cost optimization. Manage entitlements, contracts, and renewals within Flexera One ITAM.

Provide insights into software license positions (Effective License Position - ELP). Handle vendor audits for Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, and SAP licensing. IT Asset Management (ITAM): Track IT assets throughout their lifecycle (procurement to retirement).

Ensure accurate inventory management and reconciliation of software and hardware assets. Automate IT asset discovery using Flexera's Discovery & Inventory Agent. Manage integration with CMDB systems (ServiceNow, BMC, etc.) for accurate asset tracking.

Cloud Cost Management & FinOps: Monitor cloud usage and costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Implement cost-saving strategies through cloud governance and optimization. Analyze reserved instance (RI) utilization and suggest cost optimization techniques.

Automate cloud financial management (FinOps) workflows in Flexera One. SaaS Management & Optimization: Track and manage SaaS applications and subscriptions. Identify shadow IT and unused SaaS applications to reduce costs.

Automate SaaS license reclamation and renewals. Integration & Automation: Integrate Flexera One with ServiceNow, Oracle, SAP, AWS, Azure, and other IT systems. Develop automation scripts using APIs and PowerShell/Python to improve asset tracking and reporting.

Streamline ITSM workflows related to software requests, license provisioning, and asset lifecycle. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and business units to gather requirements and ensure Flexera One effectively supports their needs. Work closely with vendors, including Flexera support, for issue resolution, escalations, upgrades, and product roadmap discussions.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding Flexera One updates, changes, and relevant ITAM information. Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to other team members on Flexera One functionality. Participate in meetings and discussions related to IT Asset Management and Flexera One strategy.

Documentation and Process Improvement: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Flexera One configurations, processes, and procedures. Contribute to the development and improvement of IT Asset Management processes and workflows. Stay up to date with Flexera One updates, new features, and best practices in IT Asset Management.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience in administering and supporting Flexera One or similar IT Asset Management platforms (e.g., FlexNet Manager Suite, Snow Software, ServiceNow SAM Pro). Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles and best practices. Solid knowledge of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, SaaS) and license management.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud cost management concepts. Experience with system or application administration, including installation, configuration, and upgrades. Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for reporting and data analysis.

Experience with integration of ITAM tools with other enterprise systems (e.g., CMDB, Procurement, Finance). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have): Flexera certifications (e.g., Flexera One Certified Administrator).

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks. Experience with ServiceNow platform and integrations, particularly ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM modules. Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management processes.

Experience in a regulated industry or with compliance requirements related to software assets.
