Software Engineer

We are seeking a high-calibre Software Developer to join a London-based Operations development team at a global hedge fund. This is a high-autonomy role designed for a developer who thrives in a lean environment. Operating without dedicated project managers, you will hold end-to-end ownership of business-critical systems, interfacing directly with Traders, Treasury, Finance, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of projects from requirement definition through to production. Design and build robust solutions using C#/.NET or Java . Shape and scale the AI platform within the fund’s operational framework.

Partner directly with business heads to translate complex needs into technical reality. Contribute to architectural strategy, maintain high engineering standards, and mentor junior developers. Technical Requirements Expert-level full-stack experience in C#/.NET or Java .

Advanced SQL proficiency. Deep understanding of AI fundamentals and a proven track record of delivering AI tooling/platforms. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver pragmatic, high-impact solutions.

Excellent communication skills. Desirable Skills : Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies. Experience mentoring junior developers.
