Software Engineer II – Mission Systems

At Collins Aerospace, we build technology that enables mission success. We are seeking a Software Engineer II who writes secure embedded software for real‑time communications used by military forces worldwide.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop cutting‑edge embedded software, networking and communication products.
• Lead small efforts in complex, multi‑threaded embedded software in C++ and Rust.
• Leverage containerization to streamline software development.
• Support requirements, implementation, test development, and certification to drive project success.
• Lead initiatives within the team.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Degree in STEM and 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• 1 year of experience with embedded software development.
• 1 year of experience in C++ or C.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Rust.
• Experience with Linux development environments.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with multithreading.
• Knowledge of networking and communications protocols.
