Software Engineer (Mid Level) – Climate Tech Start Up

Location: London – Hybrid. The role averages three days a week in Waterloo.

The Role

You will work with a small, friendly, and high‑performing team to grow and develop the core product. The engineering culture is pragmatic and collaborative, giving you the chance to have impact, learn, and grow from day one.

What You Will Bring

• Hands‑on experience as a Software Engineer in full‑stack environments (Python preferred but not required).
• Desire to ship and maintain production software in a fast‑moving product environment.
• Proven experience working with small teams, preferably in start‑ups.
• Strong object‑oriented fundamentals applied to complex, evolving production codebases.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach across product and engineering teams.
• Energy for rapid iterative delivery cycles.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Django or a similar Python‑based backend framework.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP.
• Industry experience in renewable energy, utilities, heat‑pump technology, or construction.
• Background in product‑focused engineering environments.

Salary
