Software Engineer

PURPOSE OF ROLE: Under Armour is seeking a full stack Software Engineer for Under Armour India (UAI), with a strong emphasis on front-end engineering, to help architect and build fast, frictionless experiences across the globe as part of our growing Ecommerce Engineering team. While this is a full stack role, the primary responsibility will be designing and delivering front-end features and experiences across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate prefers frontend developmentbuilding polished, performant user interfacesbut is also comfortable working with backend services, APIs, and system-level concepts when needed.

They operate autonomously, can work through ambiguity, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to ship high-quality solutions. Reporting Structure - You will report directly to amanager employed by Under Armour Global Services Pvt. Ltd. in India.

You will have dotted-linereporting intoto service recipient stakeholders at Under Armour, Inc. (US), UA's Global Headquarters. YOUR IMPACT (Job Responsibilities): Develop high-quality software across the stack, with a primary focus on modern web front-end development Apply existing architecture and coding standards to create consistent, performant and high-quality code. Build and maintain UI applications and components in React, with a strong understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and client-side rendering (CSR).

Integrate front-end applications with backend services and APIs, collaborating closely with backend and platform teams. Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development lifecyclefrom design and implementation through testing, deployment, and monitoring Work independently in ambiguous problem spaces by clarifying requirements, proposing options, and driving pragmatic solutions. Communicate clear execution plans, tradeoffs, and progress to both technical teammates and non-technical business partners.

Contribute to keeping our software and tooling up to date with modern best practices and technologies. Provide technical guidance during incident triage helping expedite resolution of customer impact, ensuring clear communication, rapid resolution, and durable post incident improvements (includes periodic 24x7 on call). QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, master'sdegree with typically3 years of relevant experience, or typically 8 years of relevant professional experience without a degree.

Strong expertise in modern web development with a particular focus on frontend capabilities, including: NextJS/React. TypeScript / JavaScript. CSS/SCSS.

In-depth knowledge of SSR and CSR patterns in React and their performance, SEO, and UX implications. Comfortable working with backend concepts and services (e.g., REST/GraphQL APIs, Node.js services, caching, CI/CD) and contributing to backend implementation when needed. Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating with product, design, and other engineering teams.

Ideal candidate has exposure to some of the following technologies and systems: GraphQL. Backend services on a Node.js platform. Tagging & Analytics (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Tealium, Google Tag Manager).

Content Management Systems (e.g., Amplience, Contentful). Feature Flagging & A/B Testing (e.g., Adobe Target, AB Tasty,). E- Commerce Systems (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybris, Shopify, etc.).
