Job Description
Requirements
- Significant experience in Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python scripting, PowerShell, bash, KQL queries, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Windows and Unix-based Operating Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to implement methodologies focused on lean principles and high-efficiency solutions for improved productivity.
- In-depth understanding of security technologies (e.g., Intrusion Detection, Web Proxy, Antivirus, SIEM, Endpoint Detection, Vulnerability Management).
- Experience in vendor management, including vendor selection, RFI/RFP processes, and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Proven leadership skills within matrix-based teams and experience working with diverse, geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate vision and roadmaps to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Corporate Security stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze, develop, and maintain robust automation solutions.
- Evaluate and enhance SOC workflows and processes, incorporating automation through SOAR tools, scripts, and standalone applications.
- Lead the definition, development, and launch of significant cross-department initiatives with wide-reaching scope and long-term effects.
- Partner with business and technical teams to identify opportunities, estimate costs, outline potential benefits, and evaluate risks and constraints.
- Drive strategic choices and deliver innovative solutions in partnership with the business.
- Present roadmaps and proposals to Senior Management and stakeholders to guide decision‑making.
- Create roadmaps that align with the department's long‑term strategy and vision.
- Implement processes and supporting tools designed to meet organizational needs.
- Work collaboratively with network security, engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to develop automation solutions via API calls to security appliances.
- Guide the team to ensure proper processes and documentation are established.

- Competitive base salary between $138,000 – $221,000 USD (O'Fallon, Missouri).
