About the Role:
As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will perform a wider range of testing tasks with greater autonomy. You will help design test cases, execute them, and report on their effectiveness.
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement automated test cases based on software requirements.
• Execute and analyze automated test results, logging defects as necessary.
• Provide high quality testing support for feature delivery
• Analyze requirements and write related test scenarios to verify the application’s conformance in regard to the implemented requirement.
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to refine testing strategies.
• Maintain and update existing test scripts for improved accuracy and coverage.
• Assist in integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate in test case reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of automation issues.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test plans and test cases.
• Provide input on improving test automation frameworks and tools.
Skills:
• Proficient in programming languages C#/Java
• Test Automation Frameworks: Knowledgeable in frameworks such as Selenium.
• Strong experience in automating functional test cases
• Strong in OOPs concepts
• Experience in API Testing - Understanding of client-server architecture and communication principles
• CI/CD Integration: Understanding of integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Create functional and non-functional test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Defect Management: Effective use of bug tracking and management tools (e.g., JIRA / ADO).
• Experience in using generative AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot/Edge Copilot) into manual/automation testing to drive speed and innovation.
• Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in generative AI and incorporate them into day-to-day work using approved list of tools.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze and interpret test results.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work well in team settings.
