Special Education Teacher
IEP Therapy
Job Description
IEP Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to provide high‑quality, individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in the Education, Training & E‑Learning department. In this role, you will collaborate closely with school teams, related service providers, and families to design and implement effective, evidence‑based educational programs that help each student progress toward their IEP goals. Working primarily with students who receive services such as speech‑language pathology, occupational therapy, and other specialized supports, you will differentiate instruction, adapt curriculum materials, and create accessible learning environments that address academic, behavioral, social‑emotional, and communication needs.
As a Special Education Teacher with IEP Therapy, you will be responsible for developing, writing, and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including conducting or contributing to assessments, collecting ongoing data, and monitoring student progress. You will provide direct instruction in both individual and small‑group formats, apply appropriate accommodations and modifications, and use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to support student success. Collaboration is central to this position: you will partner with speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists, school psychologists, general education teachers, and other team members to ensure that students receive coordinated, holistic support across all settings.
You will regularly communicate with parents and caregivers, participate in IEP meetings, and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding student progress and program adjustments. Maintaining accurate documentation and timely compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations is essential. You will implement positive behavior supports, use data‑driven decision‑making, and help create a classroom climate that is safe, inclusive, and respectful of all learners.
IEP Therapy fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, emphasizing personalized care for students and professional growth for educators. In this role, you will have access to resources for continuing education and training in current best practices in special education, behavior management, and therapeutic collaboration. You will be encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development and to contribute your expertise to a team that values innovation, reflection, and continuous improvement.
Working at IEP Therapy offers the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on students’ educational experiences and long‑term outcomes. You will join a community of dedicated professionals who are committed to empowering students to reach their full potential, while also supporting one another through mentorship, shared problem‑solving, and collaborative planning. This position is ideal for a Special Education Teacher who is student‑centered, flexible, and eager to work in partnership with therapists and school staff to deliver high‑quality services across school settings.
