Special Education Teacher
Small Class Sizes | Licensure Support Available | Hands-On Teaching Environment
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive, collaborative program serving at-risk youth. This position is ideal for both licensed Massachusetts teachers and aspiring educators working toward licensure, who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in a structured, relationship-based learning environment.
Teachers in this program benefit from small class sizes, strong team collaboration, and the ability to use creative, hands-on instructional strategies to meet students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally.
Pay: $59,980.00 - $75,730.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and individual student needs
- Design and implement differentiated, hands-on instructional strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings and team collaboration
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Implement behavior support strategies in collaboration with team members
- Supervise students to ensure safety and consistency throughout the school day
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with computer-based systems (IEP platforms, Microsoft Office, reporting tools)
- Valid driver’s license
- Applicants not currently licensed must meet waiver eligibility, apply for licensure, and obtain licensure post hire in accordance with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
