We seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop electrical plans and specifications for architectural projects across North America using our innovative AI for MEP software.

The Opportunity

1. Design Superior Quality Plans: Use your skills and our proprietary AI software to produce high-quality, accurate plans efficiently.
2. Help Shape Software Development: Provide feedback to improve Schnackel Engineers’ AI for MEP.
3. Guide Your Colleagues: Share your experiences and expertise for team betterment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with clients, design teams, and consultants to ensure design alignment with project goals and schedules.
2. Participate in meetings and conference calls as needed.
3. Familiarize yourself with applicable codes.
4. Create electrical construction documents using AutoCAD and other software, including plans, diagrams, schedules, and specifications.
5. Perform calculations supporting design decisions.
6. Coordinate utility services and equipment specifications with vendors and utility companies.
7. Provide construction administration services, including RFI responses.
8. Mentor colleagues to foster professional growth.

What We Are Looking For

1. Degree in Architectural Engineering (Electrical emphasis) or Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems, accredited by ABET.
2. Minimum of five years’ electrical design experience with an MEP/FP engineering firm.
3. Proficiency with NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 codes.
4. Engineer-Intern (EI) credentials, with the ability to obtain a PE license.
5. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
6. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

$74K – $124K
