At Alexa Audio, we own the audio experiences on Alexa-enabled devices, including Music, Podcast, Audio Books, Radio, and Ambient soundscapes. Our integration skill kits enable seamless integration of 1P / 3P audio content providers (e.g., Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple) with Alexa devices. Audio is one of the most widely used experiences on Alexa, enjoying millions of customers daily.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage and develop technical teams, charting a long-term technical vision for Audio and narrative experiences.
• Influence technical strategy and execution within and outside Alexa Audio, collaborating with engineering leaders across Amazon.
• Partner with product and science functions to evolve customer experience and drive business impact.
• Lead technical teams responsible for evolving Audio experiences on Alexa and monetization initiatives.
• Drive development projects to make Alexa Audio experiences magical, helping customers find the right content to play on the right devices with full contextual awareness.
• Focus on audiobooks and classical music across Amazon Devices and Smart Vehicles.
• Provide direction, manage execution, and own engineering team goals.
• Manage stakeholder relationships within Alexa Audio and partner teams.
• Handle hiring, career development, and performance management.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience partnering with product and program management teams
• Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Salary Range

• Sunnyvale, CA: 253,100.00 – 342,300.00 USD annually
• Seattle, WA: 220,100.00 – 297,700.00 USD annually

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
