The Senior Mechanical Engineer - Engineering/Production will play a strategic and operational leadership role in establishing and managing the precast concrete manufacturing operations at the Mumbai Head Office. This position is responsible for driving end-to-end production efficiency, ensuring optimal utilization of machinery, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance within the plant.

The role requires overseeing daily plant operations, implementing robust preventive maintenance systems, and ensuring minimal downtime through effective equipment management. The VP will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and support the installation and commissioning of advanced precast machinery.

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, the position demands expertise in precast manufacturing techniques, mechanical systems, and automation, along with the ability to lead teams and drive performance against key operational KPIs such as production output, machine uptime, quality compliance, and safety standards.

This is a senior leadership role suited for an experienced mechanical engineering professional who can contribute to building a high-performance, technology-driven precast manufacturing facility while aligning operations with organizational goals.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our upcoming precast concrete manufacturing plant in Mumbai. The role involves managing production operations, machinery, and maintenance activities to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality precast manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing plant operations

Goals and Responsibilities

·        Oversee daily production operations of precast concrete products ensuring quality and efficiency

·        Manage and maintain machinery, equipment, and moulds used in precast manufacturing

·        Implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

·        Collaborate with production teams to optimize process flow and resource utilization

·        Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO procedures, and industry best practices

·        Drive continuous improvement initiatives in plant operations and equipment performance

·        Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new machinery

·        Prepare technical reports, production data, and maintenance logs for management review

Skills & Capabilities

·        Strong knowledge of precast production processes and moulding techniques
