The Opportunity:
The Senior PHP/WordPress Developer is a high-impact technical role responsible for the architecture, development, and stability of our enterprise-scale WordPress VIP (WPVIP) ecosystem. We are looking for a "developer's developer"—someone who views high-quality code as a baseline and sees automated testing and continuous delivery as essential to the craft.

Whatyou’lldo:
- Architect bespoke, high-performanceWordPress themes, plugins and solutionsoptimized for theWPVIP platform.
- Write clean, modularPHP (8.x) using OOPand SOLID principles to ensure code is maintainable andVIP-standard compliant.
- BDD Implementation:Drive collaboration efforts with stakeholders usingBDD (Behavior-Driven Development)to create a shared understanding.
- Test-First Mindset:Implement and advocate forATDD (Acceptance Test-Driven Development)and TDD (Test-Driven Development) practices to ensure an executable understanding of the intended behavior that will drive development.
- CD Pipeline Stewardship:Own and optimizeContinuous Delivery pipelinesusingVIP-CLI and GitHub Actions, ensuring every commit is "deploy‑ready" through automated linting, unit testing, and integration tests.
- Act as aservant leaderby removing technical blockers and facilitatingpair programmingto socialize testing best practices across the team.
- Proactively identifytechnical debtand platform risks, taking the initiative to refactor code for better testability and performance.
Who you are:
- 7+ yearsof professional PHP experience, with deep expertise in theWordPress VIP ecosystem.
- Testing Mastery:Proven experience with testing frameworks (e.g.,PHPUnit,Playwright, Behat, orCypress) and a commitment toTDD/BDDworkflows.
- CI/CD Proficiency:Expert knowledge of modernContinuous Deliverypractices andWPVIP-specific deploymentconstraints.
- Full-Stack Skills:Strong command ofReact(Gutenberg), ES6+, andREST/GraphQL APIintegration.
- Performance & Security Tooling: Extensive experience with tools such as PHPCS, New Relic, Query Monitor, WPScan and K6/WebPageTest.
- Engineering Excellence: BDD, ATDD, TDD and CI/CD.
- Technical Stewardship: WPVIP architecture and high-scale PHP.
- Servant Leadership: Empowering others through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
- Proactive Initiative: A self-starter who defines "done" as tested, documented, and deployed.
