Salary: Compensation Range: $90,000-$110,000
Minimum Knowledge And Experience:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with database languages (e.g., SQL, R, or Python)
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications
- Experience with additional software tools such as MS Project, Power BI, MS Visio, Comply 365, Coruson, TRMS, Claims Database, and Kronos
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in an assurance, compliance, or safety performance role
- Equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a BA/BS degree
- Strong understanding of applicable employment legislation
- Demonstrated familiarity with and management of programs included in 49 CFR Part 200 299, Part 225 and 219 requirements, or similar regulation.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Power BI
- Strong mathematical and statistical capabilities; skilled in queries, report writing, and presenting findings
- Able to interpret data and deliver clear, concise analysis
- Effective communicator with business units and all levels of the organization
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to produce comprehensive reports
- Able to maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements and governance
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and consistently achieve high-quality results
Key Accountabilities (Essential Job Duties):
- Demonstrates understanding and adheres to the KCS principles of Employee Engagement, Operational Excellence, Safety & Security, and Economic Performance
Data:
- Data-mine primary and secondary sources to organize information into clear, usable formats
- Develop and implement data collection systems, analytics processes, and methodologies that optimize statistical efficiency
- Identify, analyze, and interpret meaningful trends and patterns within datasets
- Locate and define opportunities for process improvement based on data insights
Reporting & Performance:
- Conduct lifecycle analysis to support performance evaluation and strategic decision-making
- Develop analytical and reporting capabilities to improve operational transparency and data-driven insights
- Produce cyclical performance reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual outputs
- Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information requirements
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate the compliance program; monitor program effectiveness and revise as needs evolve
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve work practices related to the execution of the Part 225 program
- Produce safety data reports covering injuries, illnesses, accidents, incidents, and key metrics, including correlation and impact assessments from business unit performance
- Conduct audit and assurance activities for federally mandated programs as directed by the Director of Compliance
Engagement:
- Represent Safety at meetings, including safety committees and cross-functional working groups
- Build and maintain trust-based, productive working relationships with management across business units
Organization-Specific:
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance
Working Conditions (including Physical Demands):
- Primarily office-based work; some hybrid remote flexibility may be available based on project needs
- Occasional site visits to various Keolis locations, including warehouses or maintenance shops, which may require personal protective equipment (PPE) and working outdoors
- Environment (office, outdoors, etc.)
- Exposures (loud noise, extreme heat or cold, rough terrain, etc.)
- Essential Physical Requirements (climbing, stooping, typing, etc.)
- Physical Effort/Lifting Requirement v. Sedentary position
