Job Description Our client is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to manage and execute a variety of structural engineering projects. Key Qualifications & Attributes: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario. Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience in Ontario.
Strong technical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Positive, collaborative, and client-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to project sites. Responsibilities: Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through completion. Prepare and manage project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
Coordinate with clients and internal team members to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and site reviews complete with detailed technical reports. Review engineering drawings, design briefs, and reports.
Develop structural designs for mainly residential and commercial projects (support on industrial projects may also be required). Mentor and support junior staff. Attend client meetings both on-site and virtually.
Assist with business development and client relationship management. Technical Requirements: The candidate must have knowledge and experience working with the following subjects and Canadian codes: Ontario Building Code Structural steel design (CSA S16) Reinforced concrete design (CSA A23.3) Wood design (CSA O86) Candidates should also have working knowledge of: AutoCAD Revit Microsoft Office Suite Structural analysis software (SAP2000, STAAD, RISA, etc.) Salary: $90,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience and demonstrated ability.
