About the Role
Hatch is looking for a Structural Engineering Student for a 4‑month co‑op starting in September 2026. The role supports offices globally from the Mississauga office and will provide review, analysis, design support, and research of materials for engineers and technologists.
What you will do
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, design calculations, material take‑off, literature review, technical specifications, and reports for energy and industrial projects.
- Use CAD tools for 2‑D drawing and 3‑D model reviews.
- Provide support for progress reporting and assessment of ongoing engineering tasks.
- Interface with staff to support projects as necessary.
Requirements
- 3rd or 4th year student working toward a degree in Civil Engineering with a specific interest in structural analysis and design. Successful completion of or enrollment in structural engineering courses is required.
- Familiarity with CAD/Design software applications such as MathCAD, Excel, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, MicroStation, and AutoCAD will be considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated writing and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
- High regard for job safety and quality work; must be able to work in a team environment.
- Extracurricular involvement; enthusiastic and ambitious.

Compensation
Range: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour.
