Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSuitability PrincipalAmerican Life Financial Partners, LLC a rapidly growing financial services holding company, is seeking a highly analytical, hands-on, and energetic team member to join as a Suitability Principal. We operate as a modern insurance-holding company focused on long-term growth. We aim to foster and cultivate our relationships to sell and administer annuity products through third-party independent marketing organizations (IMOs).Summary/ObjectiveWe are seeking a Suitability Principal to join our team.
The Suitability Principal will be responsible for overseeing the suitability review process for investment products and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial services, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Essential FunctionsOversee the suitability review process for investment products, including reviewing client profiles and investment recommendations to ensure compliance with industry regulationsDevelop and maintain policies and procedures related to the suitability review processCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment advisors and compliance officers, to address any issues or concerns related to the suitability review processMonitor industry regulations related to suitability and communicate changes or updates to internal stakeholdersDevelop and deliver training to internal stakeholders on the suitability review process and related regulationsParticipate in internal and external audits related to suitability and compliancePrepare and present reports on suitability review activities and findings to senior managementDevelop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry associationsCompetenciesStrong knowledge of suitability regulations and industry standardsExcellent analytical and communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational and project management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance softwareAbility to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-makingSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and communicate with others. This may be over the phone, in person, or through email and messaging. Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as needed to complete work and ensure operations/business is not interrupted or slowed.
