Commercial Construction Superintendent
RWE Design Build is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects located throughout the Chicagoland area. This position requires the candidate to lead construction efforts and monitor the progression of schedules with frequent onsite check-ins at our office in Downers Grove, IL. Responsibilities include becoming familiar with and understanding plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures.
The role involves coordinating and maintaining construction schedules to ensure projects are being completed according to drawings and specs, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project, conducting daily and/or weekly meetings with subcontractor representatives to schedule and coordinate construction activities, ensuring materials are delivered to construction sites according to construction schedules, working with owners, owner's reps, architects and subcontractors to resolve any conflicts, creating and maintaining look ahead schedules for every project, maintaining daily logs, progress photographs and weekly reports in Procore, completing and submitting all paperwork as required, attending job meetings and/or any other meetings as may be required for the successful and timely completion of the project(s), scheduling and attending all required inspections, compiling and scheduling punch list items for completion as well as coordinating project closeouts.
Requirements include 5-10 years of commercial ground-up construction experience as a CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT, must have 5+ years of ground up, commercial experience, must currently create an initial schedule for the project and review weekly with sub-contractors, PMs, and all Stakeholders, must possess strong technical, communication and computer skills, including competency with Procore, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Dropbox, and document management systems, knowledge of safety procedures, regulations and codes OSHA 30 Certified. Local travel is required for this position. An ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: ground-up construction, additions, interior remodels, design build, carpentry.
