Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work with the leadership team to develop and implement a robust SIOP process that integrates demand, supply, and inventory planning capabilities. Coordinate across functions to develop and align on “the plan,” including developing build‑up and drill‑down capabilities by product family. Set a supply strategy that is aligned with the business and translate that into executional actions.
Ensure continuous improvement by leveraging best practices in the market with existing knowledge and expertise. Integrated Supply Chain Planning.
- Develop and create strategies and policies in supply chain, inventory, and warehousing, to optimize efficiencies.
- Partner with Operations and Sales to drive operational excellence and best practices to improve key metrics including capacity utilization, lead times, inventory turns, on‑time delivery, excess/obsolete inventory.
- Optimize purchasing activities to achieve the lowest material and parts cost without sacrificing manufacturing efficiency or on‑time delivery.
- Provide leadership for purchasing materials and warehouse and integrated supply chain planning operations, including the optimization and management of strategies, facilities, processes, suppliers, metrics, and personnel to deliver high customer service. Build relationships with world‑class service partners, drive a culture of efficiency and compliance.
Provide consistent communications and performance reporting for executive team and all stakeholders. Functional Leadership.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations. Analyze data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Performance Metrics.
- Manage all warehouse operations, including delivery, inventory management, and cost effectiveness. Work with the broader Operations and Commercial teams to develop processes and systems for network optimization, inventory control, and SKU rationalization. Leverage use of ERP, MRP, WMS and related technologies and infrastructure to drive business value.
Warehousing Operations.
- Work with IT and Finance to enhance the capabilities of SAP so that it becomes an integral tool in how we manage purchasing, inventory management, and order processing. Enhance and Leverage SAP.
- Oversee and execute process changes, improvement opportunities, and technology upgrades, while maintaining delivery accuracy and customer service levels as the organization grows and further integrates. Function as a catalyst and champion for process improvement and other strategic initiatives, driving change throughout the Supply Chain and across the organization.
Partner regularly with senior management, finance, vendors, and third‑party providers to ensure solutions are appropriate based on needs. Change Enablement.
- Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature – past success in an environment with limited resources. Demonstrated collaboration with the executive team and comfortable working at all levels within an intense, challenging environment.
Cultural Fit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience overseeing supply‑chain operations with progressive responsibility.
- Experience conducting high‑level needs assessments from which actionable plans are developed and implemented.
- Strong ability to assess organizational needs, understand history, and adapt to and manage change.
- Experience managing complex projects and budgets.
- Process training and certification (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
- Up to 30 % travel required.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $150,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and skills.
