Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT) required
• Experience assisting in a variety of surgical procedures
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating room protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated teamwork and adaptability in high-pressure situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use
• Assist surgical staff with gowning, gloving, and donning personal protective equipment
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during operations
• Maintain a sterile field, consistently monitoring for breaks in aseptic technique
• Support room turnover and instrument sterilization following procedures
• Accurately document surgical counts and support patient safety protocols
