Survey Technician – Office Drafting

Location: St. Louis, MO (Metro Area)

Compensation: $50,000 – $75,000 base salary + bonus opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Survey Technician with strong drafting skills to support the preparation of survey deliverables for a wide range of projects across the St. Louis region. Working under the direction of a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, you’ll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and land planners to ensure accurate, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft drawings for property boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, record plats, and easement plats
• Prepare survey deliverables in AutoCAD in accordance with Missouri survey standards and drafting best practices
• Assist with data reduction, file management, and project documentation
• Support Licensed Surveyors with coordination and submittals for local and state jurisdictions
• Utilize software tools such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and Trimble Business Center as needed

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in survey drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
• Familiarity with Trimble Business Center (preferred)
• Knowledge of construction stakeout calculations and/or experience with field survey work (a plus, not required)
