Join us to enjoy comprehensive benefits, including health plans, lifestyle spending accounts, 401(k) matching, and support for work-life balance, along with employee engagement activities and opportunities for community involvement.Role Overview: The SVP, Risk Management is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all enterprise risk functions at Suffolk Credit Union, including Compliance, BSA/AML, Fraud, Information and Physical Security, Business Continuity, Vendor Management, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) This role ensures Suffolk Credit Union maintains a strong risk-aware culture and adheres to all regulatory, operational, and strategic risk standards, while partnering with leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Directs daily and long-term operations of Risk Management, including Compliance, Fraud, BSA/AML, ERM, Business Continuity, Vendor Management, and physical/information securityLeads, mentors, evaluates, and manages department staff in partnership with People OperationsParticipates in strategic planning to identify, assess, and mitigate organizational riskDevelops and maintains risk analysis tools, methodologies, models, and risk tolerancesOversees regulatory compliance programs, risk-based reviews, internal controls, and HMDA reportingManages fraud prevention across all products and delivery channelsOversees all aspects of BSA/AML, including cannabis banking and law enforcement coordinationServes as primary liaison with regulators, internal audit, and law enforcement; coordinates examinations and documentationManages enterprise-wide policies, vendor management program, and corporate insurance coverageOversees facility and information security, safety training, incident investigations, OSHA/ADA complianceLeads Enterprise Risk Management, business continuity planning, risk assessments, and Board-level reportingManages member complaint resolution, compliance training, departmental budgets, and Board/Senior Management reportingEssential Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field required.Advanced knowledge of risk analysis, regulatory requirements, and financial industry operationsStrong expertise in BSA/AML, fraud mitigation, compliance, and security of facilities and informationIn-depth knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and proceduresProficient in Excel and skilled in analyzing complex financial and statistical dataDemonstrated leadership, supervisory, and cross-functional team-building capabilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills with senior managementEffective independent problem-solver able to manage multiple complex deadlinesExercises sound judgment, discretion, and responsibility with confidential informationAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervisionACAMS BSA Certificate, Compliance Officer Certification required (or obtained within two years of hire) Apply today and embark on a rewarding career and start empowering your possible!Suffolk Credit Union provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and prohibits discrimination of any type on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws.
