Role Overview
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager who can lead from the front in a high-pressure, niche hiring environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive aggressive hiring outcomes across Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, and Embedded Software.You will be responsible for building a high-performing recruiting team, solving complex hiring challenges, and partnering with business leaders to deliver critical talent in competitive markets. This is not a reporting role - it is a delivery-focused leadership role with strong ownership of outcomes.
Job Description:
Lead and drive end-to-end hiring strategy and execution for niche and business-critical rolesManage, mentor, and push a team of recruiters to consistently meet aggressive hiring targetsPersonally intervene and close high-priority and hard-to-fill rolesBuild scalable sourcing strategies for: Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Embedded SoftwareAct as a strategic partner to senior leadership:Influence hiring decisions and timelinesProvide market intelligence (talent supply, compensation, competition)Challenge hiring expectations when requiredDrive hiring velocity, pipeline strength, and conversion ratios across rolesAnticipate hiring risks (drop-offs, offer declines, skill shortages) and implement mitigation plansOwn stakeholder communication - especially during hiring challenges, delays, or escalationsOptimize recruitment processes, tools, and metrics for speed and quality
Team Leadership Expectations:
Build a strong "hunter" culture within the TA teamSet clear performance metrics and hold the team accountableCoach recruiters on advanced sourcing, stakeholder management, and closing strategiesStep in when needed - this role requires hands-on contribution, not just oversight
What We're Looking For:
10-14 years of experience in technical recruitment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership roleStrong track record of delivering on niche and complex hiring mandatesProven experience managing and scaling recruiting teams in a software services environmentDeep understanding of at least two of the following domains: Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Embedded SoftwareStrong stakeholder management skills - ability to influence senior leaders and push back when neededExcellent problem-solving and negotiation skills in high-pressure hiring situationsStrong grasp of market intelligence, talent mapping, and compensation benchmarking
