Tax Accountant (Spartanburg)

We are seeking a professional Tax Accountant to join a growing team in Spartanburg, SC. This is a full time, permanent/Direct Hire position with full benefits. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of previous sales/use tax experience.

Job Description:

• Calculate and file of Sales and Use Tax returns for multiple entities in multiple states
• Track and payment of Property Taxes for multiple properties in multiple states
• Calculate and file of Occupancy Tax returns
• Calculate and file gross receipts tax, excise tax, business & occupation tax
• Research and monitor changes to tax laws to ensure adherence to applicable regulations
• Interpret and comply with state and local statutes, regulations, and legislation
• Provide guidance based on research of tax laws and regulations
• Develop process procedures based on business need
• Assist with sales and use tax audits
• Oversee reconciliation of tax-related general ledger accounts

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 2+ years of sales and use tax experience
• 2+ years of expereince with tax filing
• Experience in a multi-state, multi unit enviornment
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Expereince with Sage Intact (Bonus)

Hours:

• Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
• 100% onsite

Compensation & Benefits:

• $55,000 - $75,000 (Depending on qualifications & experience)
