Department
The GCMS (Global Compliance Management Services) practice is at the heart of the tax advisory and compliance practice and, as part of the TMC (Tax Management Consulting, internationally known as ‘Tax Reimagined’) team, it is involved with coordinating, standardising and transforming compliance processes for our clients. We help clients with the set‑up of their tax function and strategy around global tax compliance. On a daily basis we work together with 157 local KPMG member firms to support our clients across the globe.
We identify opportunities for optimising processes and provide clients with input on large transformation projects.
Your job
As Tax Consultant GCMS you will work closely with the other TMC team members, manage junior consultants and client administrators, and regularly collaborate with colleagues at Meijburg & Co and KPMG Global. You will be responsible for managing various projects, primarily coordinating the global compliance processes of clients, identifying opportunities for process optimisation, and using our KPMG Digital Gateway platform. You will be the designated contact for the client and for colleagues from other countries, bringing structure to a world of very different deadlines and rules.
Your responsibilities
- Setting up engagements / supervising transitions at new clients;
- Coordinating processes, both compliance and administrative;
- Managing (international) colleagues in the area of tax returns and financial statements;
- Reviewing simple tax returns and tax calculations;
- Liaising with clients and maintaining contact (both internal and external);
- Setting up and working with KPMG Digital Gateway (technological support for the GCMS practice);
- Identifying opportunities for clients to optimise their processes;
- Providing general support to colleagues within the GCMS, TMC and tax advisory practice.

As our ideal candidate you also have
- At least two years’ experience working in a tax position;
- A university degree;
- Experience with Lean methodology is an advantage;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written).
