Job Description
Our client, an investment firm, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team in New York, NY!
Responsibilities
- Configure and customize Jira to meet project and organizational requirements, including workflows, dashboards, reporting, and integrations.
- Lead the implementation of Jira best practices for project tracking, reporting, and process standardization.
- Develop and maintain custom Jira solutions using plugins, scripts, and automation tools.
- Plan, execute, and manage technical projects aligned with business goals, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Software Development teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve roadblocks.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans.
- Provide regular project updates and insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Analyze existing workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and collaboration.
- Train and support team members on Jira best practices and project management processes.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment while mentoring team members on project management methodologies and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- 7-13 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a strong focus on Jira implementation and customization.
- Proven expertise in designing Jira workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions for technical teams.
- Solid understanding of DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt solutions in a technical environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
- Experience within the financial services or investment industry is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Certifications in Jira Administration or Agile frameworks (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster).
