Technical Project Manager - Snowflake/Azure, PMP & PRINCE2 page is loaded## Technical Project Manager - Snowflake/Azure, PMP & PRINCE2locations: Bangalore: Hyderabadtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 260968**Scope:*** We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and drive cost optimisation initiatives across our Azure, OCI and Snowflake data platform.* The ideal candidate will bridge technical and business teams, identifying opportunities to reduce cloud spend, improve engineering efficiency, and deliver measurable cost savings without compromising performance or product quality.**Technical Environment:*** Cloud Platform: Azure, OCI, Snowflake* Tools: Cloud Zero, Power BI, Databricks, Jira, ServiceNow, MS Excel**What you’ll do:**### **Cost Optimisation Program Management*** Own and manage the end-to-end cost optimisation roadmap across BY cloud platforms.* Identify, prioritise, and track cost-saving initiatives across compute, storage, licensing, and engineering resource usage.* Define and monitor KPIs including credit consumption, warehouse utilisation, query efficiency, and cloud spend trends.* Deliver regular executive-level reporting on savings realised vs. targets.### **Snowflake Cost Management*** Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to analyse Snowflake credit usage and identify inefficiencies.* Drive adoption of cost governance practices: auto-suspend policies, query tagging, warehouse sizing, and resource monitors.* Facilitate cross-functional workshops to surface and resolve wasteful usage patterns.* Partner with Snowflake account teams on contract optimisation, capacity planning, and licensing reviews.### ### **Product Development Cost Governance*** Work with Engineering, DevOps, and Finance to track and reduce SDLC-related costs (cloud infra, tooling, vendor licences).* Introduce shift-left cost awareness practices including cost estimation at design and sprint planning stages.* Evaluate third-party tools and SaaS subscriptions for ROI and recommend consolidation or renegotiation.* Support build vs. buy decision frameworks with a focus on long-term cost implications.## **Stakeholder Management & Governance*** Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Engineering, Data, and Leadership on cost-related matters.* Run regular steering committee meetings and cost review forums with senior stakeholders.* Manage project documentation, risk registers, and change logs for all cost initiatives.* Champion a culture of cost accountability across engineering and product squads.**What we are looking for:*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering.* 10-13 years of total experience and 6+ yrs in project or programme management experience in a technology environment.* Demonstrable experience managing cloud cost optimisation initiatives (AWS, GCP, Snowflake or Azure) at least for 6 yrs.* Hands-on familiarity with Snowflake – understanding of warehouses, credits, clustering, and billing constructs.* Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid).* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.* Experience with FinOps frameworks and cloud cost management tools (e.g., Cloudability, Cloud zero Apptio, or native cloud cost explorers).* Familiarity with data platform architectures (data lakes, lakehouses, ELT pipelines).* Exposure to Snowflake cost governance features: resource monitors, query tagging, and usage analytics views.* Experience working with product development teams in an agile software delivery environment.* Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project tracking tools.**Our Values**All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
