About the Role
Fixed term full‑time position in the Community Development and Participation team until Friday 25 June 2027, based at The Bay Pavillions located in Batemans Bay. Responsible for developing and delivering a structured program of creative arts activities and workshops that promote community participation, skills development and engagement in the arts. The role works with artists, community groups, cultural organisations and internal stakeholders to create inclusive and accessible programs, strengthen creative pathways and encourage participation across all ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan and deliver creative arts workshops and activities.
- Collaborate with artists, community groups, cultural organisations and internal stakeholders.
- Create inclusive and accessible programs reflecting local needs.
- Support the delivery of high‑quality arts programs that build community capacity and support local creatives.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in arts, community development, administration or related field, or equivalent experience coordinating arts programmes or similar administrative roles.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with ability to manage small projects, balance competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supervising volunteers and working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑quality customer service in a public‑facing or community‑focused setting.
- Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills, including ability to develop innovative solutions within policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in desktop publishing, records and data management.
Benefits
Salary: $2,720.64 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.
- 35 hours per week for administrative staff and 38 hours per week for operational staff.
