Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Territory Sales Manager – Specialty to serve as the face of Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) to our customers. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales objectives, growing market share, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals in the assigned territory.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the assigned territory.
- Establish deep and meaningful business relationships based on clinical and market expertise.
- Increase market share by closing new business in both new and existing accounts prioritized on market potential.
- Support sales results with clinical expertise, thoughtful planning, and effective use of resources in a compliant manner.
- Assess and analyze product/competitor trends and market dynamics.
- Collaborate and provide candid, constructive communication with team members.
- Travel throughout the territory, including overnight stays and potential weekend meetings.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with mastery of product and disease state knowledge.
- Proven, consistent, documented top‑ranked sales performance (ideally in the top 25% nationwide).
- Preferred: experience in Urology, experience with a pharmaceutical launch, and knowledge of market access formulary positioning.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $113,600.00 – $142,000.00. The total rewards package includes merit‑based increases, a short‑term incentive plan, 401(k) participation, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and leaves in line with state regulations. The robust time‑off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, additional time off during the December shut‑down, and 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire with yearly accrual.
Travel Requirements
Primarily remote with periodic on‑site meetings. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
