Trading Operations Executive

A leading international agricultural commodities trading company with a strong presence in Asia is looking to strengthen its trade operations team in Singapore. This role sits close to the commercial desk and supports the end-to-end execution of physical agri trades, working closely with traders, logistics teams, and external counterparties across the full trade lifecycle. ResponsibilitiesSupport the operational execution of physical agricultural commodities trades, from contract confirmation through to final settlementCoordinate import and export cargo movements, including vessel nominations, scheduling, and shipment trackingLiaise with surveyors, warehouses, terminals, shipping lines, agents, and trade counterparties to ensure smooth executionMonitor laytime, detention, and demurrage exposure where applicablePrepare and manage trade and shipping documentation in line with contractual terms (e.g. invoices, BLs, certificates)Ensure compliance with trade terms such as GAFTA / FOSFA and internal policiesUpdate trading and operations systems, ensuring accurate and timely recordsWork closely with traders, logistics, risk, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination across the trade lifecycle RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in agricultural commodities trading operationsExperience supporting grains, oilseeds, soft commodities, or related agri productsFamiliarity with international trade terms such as GAFTA / FOSFA is preferredStrong understanding of cargo execution, logistics flows (bulk/containerised), and trade documentationDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced trading environment
