The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.Open to internal, BNH employees and external candidates..
The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.Job SummaryThe successful candidate will perform a variety of manual and technical work as a Utility Operator (Water/Wastewater) under general supervision. Job Duties:Adds chemicals to disinfect and deodorize water and other liquidsInspects equipmentMonitors operating conditions, meters and gauges to determine load requirements and detect malfunctionsCollects and takes samples of water and sewageRecords operational dataOperates and adjusts controls on equipmentMaintains, repairs and lubricates equipmentCleans and maintains tanks, filter beds and other work areas using hand and power toolsResponsible for ensuring general housekeeping of assigned areas is maintainedResponsible to immediate supervisor on matter relating to operation and operator maintenance if assigned pumping station, coordination with other station and coordination of pumping operations with test facilitiesResponsible for ensuring general housekeeping of assigned areas is maintainedPerform other related duties as requiredIt is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policyPerform other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentFour (4) years of progressive experience in the operation of a Potable/Wastewater PlantMust be willing/able to work first, second, third, to include odd and weekend shiftsMust be available to work overtime as requiredMust have working knowledge of computersWill participate in functional specific safety training and related environmental stewardship programsMust be able to obtain and maintain company physical and security requirement to include AEDC computer accessMust be able to read, write and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directionsMust possess and maintain a valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contractU.S. CitizenshipLicenses/CertificationsMust possess and maintain a State of Tennessee Grade III or higher Water Treatment Operations Certificate and a valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving recordPreferred QualificationsActive secret clearanceWorking knowledge of various types of pumps and valvesWorking knowledge pumping station operations and maintenanceWhat We OfferCompetitive salariesContinuing education assistanceMultiple healthcare benefits packages401K with employer matchingVacation and sick leave along with a federally recognized holiday schedule Who We AreBeyond New Horizons (BNH) is a fully populated joint venture of Astrion and Fluor Federal Services, Inc. formed to provide unmatched Test Operations and Sustainment services for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.
