Job Description
Role Overview - We are expanding our Investment Banking – IPO Origination team and are looking for an entrepreneurial AVP – Business Development who can build relationships with high growth companies and help bring them to the public markets. The AVP will lead a business development pod responsible for identifying IPO ready companies, engaging with promoters, and converting opportunities into IPO mandates for execution by the firm's merchant banking team.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify companies with strong growth potential and IPO readiness.
• Initiate conversations with promoters regarding IPO opportunities.
• Conduct preliminary IPO feasibility discussions with potential clients.
• Develop relationships with promoters, chartered accountants, consultants, and industry advisors. • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of companies planning capital market transactions.
• Lead and mentor a team of business development associates. • Guide outreach strategies and track deal pipelines.
• Participate in promoter meetings, valuation discussions, and mandate negotiations. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience: 6–12 years in investment banking, capital markets, corporate finance, or financial advisory.
Education: MBA / CA / CFA preferred.
Skills: Strong networking ability, understanding of financial statements and capital markets, leadership capabilities, and a relationship driven mindset
