Vice President of Product and Innovation
Cloud Coach
Job Description
Vice President (VP) of Product & Innovation
About Cloud Coach
Cloud Coach is a Salesforce-native Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform built for teams that deliver onboarding, projects, and ongoing services. Our software helps services organizations run delivery operations with less admin, clearer visibility, and better execution.
In 2025, we completed our first acquisition of JustOn, a German billing automation company, creating a 60+ person global organization that combines project management with financial automation capabilities.
Trusted by customers across multiple industries and regions, we're looking for leaders who are excited to build, collaborate, and drive meaningful outcomes as we scale.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Vice President of Product & Innovation to own product strategy and direction across the Cloud Coach platform. This leader will define the product vision and strategic roadmap priorities, grounded in market insight, customer experience, and business outcomes.
This role owns the strategic product lifecycle: what we build and why . You'll define market opportunities, validate customer needs, and ensure our roadmap reflects where the market is going—not just where it's been. You'll drive business outcomes through strategic product decisions that shape adoption, retention, and expansion.
The VP of Product & Innovation reports directly to the CEO and provides strategic direction to the Product team. This role works closely with the CTO, who owns product/engineering collaboration processes and delivery execution, to ensure strategic vision translates into predictable, high-quality delivery.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Own the product vision and translate it into strategic roadmap priorities that are clear, validated, and tied to customer and commercial outcomes.
- Define what we should build and why , grounded in market intelligence, competitive positioning, and customer insight—not internal opinions or anecdotes.
- Keep strategic focus on what moves adoption, retention, and expansion. Say no to distractions.
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure roadmap items are well-scoped, and work with the CTO to align strategic priorities with engineering capacity and technical roadmap.
- Identify new product opportunities and adjacent markets through market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis.
- Lead product integration strategy for the JustOn acquisition, ensuring a coherent platform vision that combines PSA and billing automation.
- Validate new ideas through customer interviews, prototypes, and market testing before committing to full development.
- Balance investment between core improvements and new capabilities with clear strategic rationale tied to business outcomes.
- Spend meaningful time with customers and prospects to understand how services and onboarding teams actually operate, where work breaks down, and what success looks like in the field.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to track the competitive landscape across the PSA market, including Certinia, Kantata, Klient, Mission Control, and point solutions, and use that insight to sharpen positioning and roadmap priorities.
- Build tight feedback loops with Implementation, Services, Customer Success, and Support to surface friction, recurring issues, and adoption blockers.
- Use both qualitative insight and quantitative product data to guide decisions, not opinions or internal anecdotes.
- Own the AppExchange strategy and ensure Cloud Coach maximizes its position as a Salesforce-native solution.
- Stay ahead of Salesforce platform releases and identify strategic opportunities to leverage new capabilities.
- Identify partnership and integration opportunities within the Salesforce ecosystem that expand Cloud Coach's reach and value.
- Lead and develop the Product organization, including Product Management, UX, Requirements Engineering, and Documentation teams.
- Build a culture of customer-centricity, strategic thinking, and outcome-driven product work.
- Develop Product team members through coaching, clear expectations, and accountability for strategic outcomes.
- Establish effective working relationships with the CTO and Engineering leadership to ensure seamless collaboration between product strategy (what/why) and engineering execution (how/when).
Business Impact & Strategic Metrics
- Own product-driven strategic outcomes and be accountable for metrics including feature adoption, net revenue retention, time-to-value, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify product gaps that create operational drag for customers, slow time-to-value, increase support burden, or weaken renewal and expansion conversations.
- Use data to validate strategic hypotheses and course-correct based on what customers actually adopt and value.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Services, Customer Success, Support, and Operations to ensure product strategy reflects what the market is asking for and what customers need to succeed.
- Incorporate insights from teams in the US and Europe into a single, coherent product strategy that serves both markets.
- Communicate strategic priorities, decisions, and rationale clearly, and keep stakeholders aligned on direction and why it matters.
Experience
- 10+ years in SaaS management, with 5+ years in a senior product leadership role (VP of Product, Head of Product, or similar) in a SaaS or software environment.
- Strong preference for leaders who have lived the problem space: professional services delivery, customer onboarding, customer success, support operations, or implementing PSA/services software.
- Demonstrated ability to turn customer and market insight into clear product strategy and validated roadmap priorities.
- Track record of owning strategic decisions tied to adoption, retention, and expansion metrics.
- Experience building and developing product teams, including hiring, coaching, and capability development.
- Experience with Salesforce-native products or the Salesforce ecosystem is a strong plus.
- Experience with M&A product integration is valuable given our recent acquisition.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to balance market opportunity with business constraints and technical feasibility.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Competitive Compensation: $200,000-$225,000 base salary, depending on experience. With potential for bonus incentives based on performance.
- Strategic ownership and decision-making authority over product direction and vision.
- Direct partnership with the CEO and CTO on strategy and priorities.
- A compelling market problem: improving how services teams deliver and scale.
- A global product and customer base with meaningful opportunities to innovate.
- Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and unlimited PTO.
- Remote-friendly role within the U.S., with the option to work from our Fort Collins, CO office.

At Cloud Coach, we're committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work. We make employment decisions based on merit and do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected status.
The role is expected to close on January 30th, 2026
