Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in GA

A contract opportunity is available for a qualified professional specializing in services for visually impaired students through telehealth. This role focuses on providing expert consultation to support educational programs geared toward students with visual impairments.

Location: Greenville, GA
Schedule: 20-25 hours per week of consultation services

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consultation services to educators and families addressing the needs of visually impaired students
• Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct assessments, offer training, and provide ongoing support
• Collaborate remotely with teachers and school staff to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs) and strategies
• Monitor student progress and adjust recommendations accordingly
• Maintain documentation and reports related to consultations and student interventions

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent credential
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments in an educational setting
• Proficiency with telehealth technology and remote consultation methods
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support school personnel and families
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule
