Position Summary:Warehouse persons are responsible for operating motorized material handling equipment to unload, select and load products to storage areas in a multi-temperature foodservice warehouse environmentPosition Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Safely and accurately receive inbound products, replenish inventory as needed and pull productSafely build pallets, cart or cages of product for loading and delivery to our customerSelect product safely with a high degree of accuracyRecognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customerSafely maneuver motorized material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forkliftMeet or exceed productivity standardsUtilize various technologies or software, such as Syntellic.Perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environmentRecognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures.Any other duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:Must be a minimum of 18 years of ageValid PR driver’s licenseHigh School diploma6 months prior warehouse forklift experience.6 months of related experience (i.e. working in a distribution warehouse environment, grocery dock, construction or other positions which require heavy lifting in multi-temperature environment)Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift productForklift certification is required or obtained immediately upon hireAbility to work flexible work schedule (e.g., night shift, weekends and holidays) in a 24/7 distribution center environmentThis position must pass post offer drug testPreferred Skills and Experience:Foodservice distribution a plusBehavioral Competencies: Core CompetenciesAdaptabilityAccepts and adapts to changesLearns new skills to meet new needs of the businessSuggests changes and improvementsQuality Work OutputProduces quality workFollows safety practices and compliance policiesUses time wisely and gets things doneMeets or exceeds deadlinesTakes responsibility for own actionsService OrientationSupports the company’s mission, vision and valuesMeets or exceeds customer needsResponds to requests in a timely mannerTakes initiative to meet customers’ needsResourcefulnessUses materials, processes and tools efficientlyTakes initiative to solve problemsDoes the most important work firstGets things done while still upholding ethics, integrity, compliance and company valuesTeamworkWorks with others to get things doneOpenly shares feedback and information that helps the teamTreats others with respectIs approachable to othersListens so others feel heardDevelops relationships built on trustPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
