Job Description:At ROYAL INSIGNIA, design is at the core of everything we do, and designers the blood of the company. As a designer, you are responsible for ensuring that the company produces quality designs that are creative, in line with the company’s design direction, and customer’s expectations.The Industrial Designer/Product Designer/2D Designer is the bridge between the design and production team; regular communication with both teams is paramount to the efficient performance of his role.He / she possesses good analytical, problem-solving and visualization skills, and is able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Duties & Responsibilities:Design and produce artwork, design illustrations, and graphic documents using a range of manual and digital techniques and mediaProduce 2D drawings & models for 3D presentation purposes.
The drafter should be well-versed in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, procreate (or other digital sketching software) Maintain an awareness of trends and developments in design, materials, techniques and technology. Keep abreast of design trends in the luxury lifestyle industryParticipate in the product conceptualisation phase and see the product from concept to final designRecord measurements, information for design reference, work constructed, and produce design for the purpose of productionProvide strategic insight and share expertise to improve the company’s design processes and capabilitiesGenerate ideas for new design concepts and prototypesProduce designs and test specifications for new ideasAdminister experiments for testing the feasibility of prototypesCommunicate outcomes of design tests and project implementationPrepare design plans and specification documents for submissionPrepare communication materials and samples for productionTo operate machinery; such as laser cutting and flat bed printing when required Job Requirements:Minimum Diploma in Industrial and/or Product Design, or any relevant field of studyPrior experience as a product designer would be an advantage
