Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly strategic and execution-driven Account Director: Government Business to anchor and streamline operations across multiple government-facing business verticals.This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance, requiring someone who can seamlessly zoom out to drive big-picture thinking while also zooming in to optimize day-to-day operations across accounts.The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-stakes, high-confidentiality environment, managing sensitive information and enabling leadership with clarity, structure, and foresight.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight Across Businesses Drive cross-functional strategy across political and government business verticals Continuously assess:What needs to scaleWhat needs to be optimizedWhat needs to be deprioritized Act as a thought partner to leadership on business direction and prioritization
- Account & Operations Management Oversee multiple accounts across regions and verticals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals "Dabble across accounts" - maintain visibility while stepping in deeply where required Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks; implement corrective measures Ensure consistency in delivery quality and timelines
- Program Management & Execution Build and track execution frameworks across ongoing mandates Monitor key deliverables, milestones, and outcomes Ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders
- Data, Insights & Decision Support Synthesize data across accounts to derive actionable insights Build dashboards/reports to inform leadership decisions Translate on-ground realities into strategic recommendations
- Stakeholder Management Work closely with senior leadership, key client stakeholders, and internal teams Maintain strong communication loops across functions Navigate ambiguity and manage expectations in dynamic environments
- Governance & Confidentiality Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion Ensure strong compliance, documentation, and information security practices Build trust across stakeholders through integrity and professionalism
Candidate Profile
Experience 10+ years of experience in:Advertising/Strategy roles/Client ServicingOR high-intensity operations/strategy roles in fast-paced environments Experience managing multiple stakeholders and complex projects simultaneously
Core Skills Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability Ability to operate at both macro (strategy) and micro (execution) levels Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills High ownership and accountability
Behavioral Traits High discretion and integrity (critical for handling sensitive information) Structured yet adaptable in ambiguous environments Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure
