Role Description
We're hiring an Accounts & Finance Executive to own the day-to-day financial operations of TRP Sports, ensure compliance across GST and payroll, and contribute to strategic finance — helping leadership make decisions backed by clean numbers and real-time cash visibility.
This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to a fast-paced sports business environment.
What You'll Do
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping on Zoho Books — maintaining accurate records of income, expenses, and transactions
Handle end-to-end GST filing, reconciliation, and compliance (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns)
Process payroll and manage salary disbursements, including TDS deductions and employee tax compliance
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and tracking financial terms within player and vendor contracts
Prepare and monitor cash flow statements and flag early signals on liquidity
Build and maintain financial dashboards and key metrics (AR/AP aging, burn rate, revenue tracking)
Support invoicing and collections — particularly for player transfer fees, sponsorship, and agency commissions
Coordinate with CA/auditors during quarterly and annual audits
Assist leadership with MIS reports and ad hoc financial analysis
Qualifications
-2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred)
-Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or similar cloud accounting tools (QuickBooks, Tally etc.)
-Working knowledge of GST laws, TDS provisions, and Indian payroll compliance
-Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and financial modelling
-Strong attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple deadlines
-Interest in or exposure to sports, media, or entertainment industries is a plus
-Someone who can think beyond entries — understand the business behind the numbers
