Accountant (Bogotá)

In this role, you will monitor and support payment execution while ensuring strict compliance with contractual agreements. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and maintain high attention to detail. The role also supports internal and external audit processes and requires effective time management to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare internal and external financial reports
• Maintain and oversee the control of accounts and records, including disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income
• Compile and analyze financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements; consolidate financial statements; and produce other accounting schedules and reports
• Design, modify, implement, and maintain accounting systems to ensure accurate recognition of financial transactions
• Ensure and communicate adherence to accounting and auditing policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support and execute month‑end close activities, as required
• Provide technical accounting support for M&A activities, as needed
• Oversee and conduct technical accounting research for complex business transactions and the implementation of new accounting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related areas
• Fluency in English (minimum B2 level)
• Knowledge in accounting and financial management, such as accounting principles, invoice management, taxes and financial procedures
• Proficiency in office software, especially Excel for analysis
• Attention to detail & organization
• Effective communication and teamwork
• ERP systems handling: Experience with systems like SAP is advantageous
• Banking knowledge of banking platforms is advantageous
